To obtain a Building Permit, the following is required:

• Department Approval Check List
• Driver's License
• Contractors License
• Completed Permit Form
• Check or Money Order made payable to The Town of Seymour
• Fire Marshall sign off required on all commercial projects.

Chief Building Inspector - As of September 1, 2023, the new hours to obtain a building permit or to perform a title search will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. 

Inspections will be done Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 am or 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  

We do not have online permitting at this time; you can mail in the information or bring it to the office during the hours listed above.
