The following holidays are observed related to rubbish removal and recycling. Scheduled pickups will be one day late after the holiday is observed. The same is true when pickup is delayed by weather or equipment breaks. Residents are advised to leave their containers at the curb and advise the Department of Public Works.

IF A HOLIDAY FALLS ON A MONDAY:
Monday we are closed
Tuesday we will service our Monday customers
Wednesday we will service our Tuesday customers
Thursday we will service our Wednesday customers
Friday we will service our Thursday customers
Saturday we will service our Friday customers
IF A HOLIDAY FALLS ON A TUESDAY:
Monday customers are picked up on their regularly scheduled day
Tuesday we are closed
Wednesday we will service our Tuesday customers
Thursday we will service our Wednesday customers
Friday we will service our Thursday customers
Saturday we will service our Friday customers
IF A HOLIDAY FALLS ON A WEDNESDAY:
Monday customers are picked up on their regularly scheduled day
Tuesday customers are picked up on their regularly scheduled day

Seymour receives single-stream recycling services. This means that different materials (i.e. paper, plastic, metal, cardboard, glass) don't need to be separated before being placed at the curbside. All materials can be commingled.
