Treasurer's Office
The Town Treasurer
is an administrative appointment of the First Selectman and
responsible for preserving, managing, and protecting the
financial resources of the Town.
Responsibilities include:
- receipt, accounting and
investment of all Town funds
- recording all cash received by the Town,
paying all bills, including payroll
- working with other financial departments
to ensure cash requirements are met
- maintaining adequate liquidity and compliance with Connecticut
State Laws
