The Town Engineer is responsible for planning, directing, supervising and coordinating professional engineering services for the Town including services provided under contractual agreements including the following: 

• design and layout of construction projects which may include storm drainage construction, sewer construction, road way construction, sidewalk rehabilitation projects, septic systems, water lines, and bridges and other capital construction projects
   
• supervision and inspection of Town building additions, school code compliance work, drainage, and site work as well as all construction work connected to Town property
   

• directs surveys, prepares topographic surveys, and makes and maintain maps and engineering records for Town properties
